We've moved!

You may have read in our last e-bulletin that we were planning a move to a new building. Well, moving day happened on Tuesday 16 July 2024, and we are now fully settled into our new home at Dryden Enterprise Centre.

We work closely with Nottingham Trent University (NTU) on a number of projects, so it is a natural progression to base ourselves in their wonderful building. Dryden Enterprise Centre is situated in the heart of Nottingham City Centre on the NTU campus and integrates eco-friendly materials and technologies. It's not just a building; it's a thriving community of entrepreneurs and small businesses. There's also a balcony we can use when the weather is nice!

In case you've missed it, our new address is:
Dryden Enterprise Centre
Nottingham Trent University
Dryden Street
Nottingham
NG1 4FQ

Please update your records.

Sarah established a therapeutic arts CIC after earning her degree in Creativity, Expressive Arts, Health, and Wellbeing. With an MSc in Health and Social Care, where she completed a literature review on Social Prescribing (SP), she took up the Regional Lead post for the National Academy for Social Prescribing (NASP) Thriving Communities Programme, advancing SP.

More recently, she delivered support in Greater Manchester for their personalisation workforce and helped Birmingham develop creative health pathways.

As the Green Social Prescribing Programme Lead, she champions personalised care and the benefits of green spaces and activities.

GreenSpace (green social prescribing)
GreenSpace green social prescribing banner image
GreenSpace, the green social prescribing programme for Nottingham and Nottinghamshire

Green social prescribing is a way of connecting people to nature-based activities and green groups, projects and schemes in their local community for support with health and wellbeing. Often this will be through a referral from a Link Worker based at a GP practice or another primary care professional.

Our scheme in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, called GreenSpace, was one of seven government Green Social Prescribing Test and Learn sites.

While the National Test and Learn may have ended, NCVS continues to embed green social prescribing into health systems to make nature-based/outdoor activities an intervention of choice to support people to improve and maintain their mental and physical health and wellbeing.
