The Nottinghamshire Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner has released information about its Community Safety and Violence Reduction Unit Fund for 2021-22.

Through the Green Homes Grant Nottinghamshire, eligible residents can now access low-carbon heating systems such as air source heat pumps and solar power to generate hot water and electricity. Have you heard of the Toiletries Amnesty? The charitable organisation is working to end hygiene poverty by connecting charities and community groups to local people with unwanted toiletries and cosmetics.

Toiletries Amnesty is a free to use directory, where each organisation can list the items they need, and specify whether they accept partly-used or opened products. You can amend your listing at any time.

Sycamore Dining is gifting a full Christmas dinner to older people in Nottingham City who will be home alone on Christmas Day.

The charity is anticipating that more older people will be alone this Christmas due to Covid-19 restrictions. They are offering a cooked meal (dinner and pudding) to be delivered to the person's front door.

A hospital letter writing scheme, set-up in response to the Covid-19 crisis, is being re-launched to bring some festive cheer to patients this Christmas.

The 'Dear Friend' scheme was originally set up in April by Age UK Nottingham and Nottinghamshire in partnership with Nottinghamshire Healthcare (NHS Foundation Trust), to help patients at Lings Bar Hospital, West Bridgford, feel less isolated and alone.

Local charity Himmah, in partnership with FareShare, has launched a membership scheme to help tackle food poverty in Nottingham.

The Nottingham People's Pantry is a food membership and support project for low-income households who are struggling to afford groceries.

A new business-support programme, funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, is offering 150 small and medium-sized heritage organisations in England, the chance to build their resilience and grow and sustain their businesses over the next two years.

The Heritage Compass programme, launched by Cause4, will support heritage organisations through tailored training, mentoring and peer learning.

The VCSE Health and Wellbeing Alliance is exploring how data and intelligence held by the voluntary sector is utilised at a local level. The aim of this study is to enable better service planning and address inequalities in public service delivery.

The alliance, which includes NCVO and NAVCA, is asking frontline voluntary organisations to complete a short questionnaire to help them determine barriers and enablers and identify good practices in the use of data and intelligence in the strategic planning of health and social care services in England.

All data captured will only be reported in an anonymised fashion. All data gathered by this questionnaire is subject to NCVO's data and privacy policies.

The NHS Midlands Clinical Network is working with the Young Minds Amplified programme to find out the views of young people on how digital/remote mental health support is or is not working, during the pandemic.

All responses will remain anonymous and will be used to develop local guidelines for children and young people’s mental health service professionals, to help them deliver digital mental health care that is right for young people across the Midlands.

This work is funded by STEMM-CHANGE at the University of Nottingham, which is all about promoting equality, diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
