Volunteering Development Officer
Salary: £24,000 per annum
Hours: Full time, 35 hours a week
Closing date: 12 noon Monday 30 April 2018
The role of Volunteering Development Officer will be central to the development of volunteering across the city, influencing strategy, raising the profile of volunteering and building an engaged volunteer community. The role holder will develop our established Volunteer Centre, which is a central resource for the city, increasing engagement of individuals and the number and breadth of opportunities.
The role holder will also act as a voice for the voluntary and community sector working towards a strong, engaging strategy for volunteering for the city. They will be a point of best practice for volunteer management and organise the Volunteer Coordinators' Network. The Volunteering Development Officer will work closely with a wide range of organisations, colleagues and other stakeholders to support the provision of volunteering services that are of the highest relevance and quality.
