How many places are on offer?
The role involves typical shop duties to help with the running of our social supermarket. You will volunteer at the shop with other volunteers and staff to help provide a service that makes affordable food more accessible.
The main tasks you will be involved in include serving customers, arranging goods in display and on shelves, rotating and replacing stock, and helping with the overall maintainence of the shop. These tasks will be carried out on site in the shop and you will be working alongside other volunteers.
This role is important as you will be a valuable support in the overall running of our social supermarket, helping us to provide a service for local people to access affordable and healthy food. Our shop is unique in that we are a social enterprise that takes short-dated food from local wholesalers and businesses, and sell it at low and sustainable prices. Foodprint aims to tackle food waste and food poverty.
Store opening hours are Mon, Friday, Saturday (9am-5pm) / Sunday (11am - 4pm).
Weekday shifts are 9 - 1 and 1- 5.
