Purpose of Role:
To be the treasurer for Open Minds
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
This is one of the main posts on our trustee board and as such we require someone with technical skill in bookkeeping. The treasurers role is to monitor the monthly cashflow alongside our Co-ordinator, who operates Quickbook’s software to update income and expenditure. You will be required to present financial reports every 2 months to our trustee board.
We reconcile early in the month so that you can update the cashflow. In a management meeting month you will be required to prepare reports. Our meeting are at the end of a month on a Wednesday afternoon. A total commitment is about 3-4 hours per month.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
As we are a developing organisation then we will expect you to have a background in bookkeeping, so that we can update our accountants on projected budgets etc. Our co-ordinator will work alongside you and we have template reports and cashflow charts to smooth your workload.
