Women's organisations in the UK can now apply for grants of between £1,000 and £10,000 through Rosa's COVID-19 Response Fund (Small Grants).
Rosa is a registered charity that works to strengthen women's organisations so they can meet the needs of the women and girls they work with. The first stage of the COVID-19 Response Fund has been set-up to provide quick and straightforward grants to women's groups with very basic eligibility criteria. On their website, Rosa says, "We think it's vitally important that this is an open call for women's organisations to apply for what they identify as a short-term funding need." There is no deadline for applications as they will be considered on a rolling basis.
Rosa particularly welcomes proposals from women's organisations that:
- Address the critical needs of women and girls that miss out the most, including marginalised populations, BAME women, LGBTQ+ women and girls, women and girls with disabilities, older women, homeless women, survivors of gender violence, women in prison and ex-offenders, and other underserved and disadvantaged groups of women
- Operate in less economically resilient towns, cities and rural areas within the UK
