Patient and Public Involvement Fund

Grants of £2,000 will be awarded to 15 successful groups in the East Midlands through the Patient and Public Involvement Fund from East Midlands Academic Health Science Network (EMAHSN).

The funding is aimed at health, social care, voluntary and third-sector organisations and groups who involve patients and citizens in research and healthcare. EMAHSN welcomes applications that encourage patient and citizen involvement in health and care innovation, transformation and improvement. They particularly welcome applications that demonstrate the involvement of seldom heard and underserved communities. In honour of Veronica Price-Job who sadly passed away this year, applications are particularly welcomed that involve the public in addressing health and social care inequalities.

Applications to the scheme are now open and the closing date is Midnight on Thursday 30 June 2022.

Applications for the funding will be considered by a panel including representatives from the East Midlands Patient Public Involvement Senate, an independent group of patients and carers with varied health and service user experience.
