Nominations are now open for the NottinghamshireLive Heroes Awards 2020, run by the Nottingham Post.
Now in its sixth year, the awards celebrate and honour the achievements of remarkable people who make Nottingham a better place.
The awards will recognise people from all walks of life that inspire with their acts of bravery, determination and selflessness. Categories include Good Neighbour, Young Heroes, Volunteer of the Year, Emergency Services, Bravery and Courage, Healthcare Heroes, Community Action, Environmental Heroes and the Lifetime Achievement Award.
The closing date for nominations is Wednesday 7 October 2020. After the closing date, three finalists will be shortlisted from each category by a judging panel. The winners will then be announced at the virtual awards, which will be streamed live on the NottinghamshireLive website from 7pm on Tuesday 10 November 2020.
The 2020 awards have been sponsored by the Nottinghamshire Police and Crime Commissioner Paddy Tipping, Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service, Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust, Nottingham City Homes and BMI Healthcare.
