NNRF named as Weston Charity Awards winner

Congratulations to Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Refugee Forum (NNRF) for becoming a 2021 Weston Charity Awards winner.

NNRF was chosen from 150 applicants, all of whom are frontline charities delivering youth, welfare or community services in the North of England, the Midlands and Wales. They are one of only 20 charities to have received the award.

The award gives NNRF the chance to invest in its future with a core grant of £6,500 from the Garfield Weston Foundation. It also includes ten months of strategic planning support from an expert team, thanks to the leadership charity Pilotlight.

Matt Atkins, NNRF director, said, "We are thrilled that our ambition to continue developing our work with and for refugees and asylum seekers has been recognised in our selection as a Weston Charity Award winner. We will seize this amazing opportunity to help us to strengthen both our governance and better show the impact of our work, so we can keep making a difference to refugees and asylum seekers in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire for many years to come.”
