Join Nottingham's new LGBT+ choir

A new LGBT+ community choir has set up in Nottingham and is looking for members to join.

Singing Proud Nottingham is open to everyone who identifies as LGBT+ and lives or works in Nottingham or Nottinghamshire. No previous singing experience is required.

The choir will meet from September on Thursday evenings at St John's Church, Carrington, NG5 2DP. The choir leader is Val Regan, who also runs Sheffield's LGBT+ Choir Out Aloud

An open day is being held on Sunday 1 August, for people to meet Val and find out more about the choir. The event will take place from 2pm to 3pm at The New Foresters, 18 St Ann's Street, Nottingham, NG1 3LX.

Attendees will meet outside in a marquee, and will need to adhere to any Covid restrictions in place at the time
