Ignite offers artists opportunity to feature at science festival

Nottingham-based charity Ignite! is offering four commissions to Nottinghamshire-based artists and creative practitioners to produce new work that can be celebrated as part of the Nottingham Festival of Science and Curiosity in February (2021).

The opportunity is being supported through the Arts Council England's Emergency Response Fund. Artists working across any creative media are welcome to apply. At least two of the commissions will be offered to artists in the early stages of their careers.

The purpose of each commission is to create new work that progresses the practice of each individual artist/creative practitioner. As well as contribute to new and different understandings of how community engagement with science can be delivered in the circumstances and conditions of public health limitations due to social distancing.

For more information, visit Ignite's website, you can also email Rick Hall at rick@ignitefutures.org.uk

The deadline for applications is 5pm on Wednesday 30 September 2020.
