Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence Support Services Fund 2022-2025

Deadline is Monday 2 May 2022

The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) has confirmed that it will provide further funding for domestic abuse and sexual violence support services for the next three financial years (April 2022 to March 2025).

The national funding allocation is:

  • Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence - £15.7million
  • IDVA (Independent Domestic Violence Advisors) and ISVA (Independent Sexual Violence Advisors) Fund for 100 new posts to be recruited in 2022-2023 - £3.75million.

There is no dedicated allocation for any Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) areas. PCCs have been asked to conduct a needs assessment with local support services to assess for eligibility, prioritise funding requests and submit a single needs assessment for Nottinghamshire. The Ministry of Justice will analyse the needs assessment and award local funding through the PCC.

The deadline is very tight. The Nottinghamshire PCC now invites organisations to submit an expression of interest for this funding by 11.59pm on Monday 2 May 2022.

To be eligible, an organisation must provide tailored support to female and/or male victims who have experienced domestic abuse, rape or sexual abuse at any point in their life. This includes adults and children. The funding can be used to support existing clients as well as new referrals.

Further guidance and the expression of interest form can be found on the Nottinghamshire Police and Crime Commissioner website.
