Charities and not for profit organisations whose main focus is on providing support to refugees, asylum seekers or migrants can take advantage of a new £5 million COVID-19 Support Fund.
The fund, set up by Barrow Cadbury Trust in partnership with the National Lottery Community Fund, will distribute emergency response funding to help relieve hardship caused by the pandemic among refugees, asylum seekers and migrants, who are experiencing barriers to accessing services.
To be eligible to apply, charities or not for profit organisations must be registered in England, have an income of between £10,000 and £1 million, and their main focus should be on providing support to refugees, asylum seekers or migrants. The maximum amount of funding which organisations can apply for is £50,000 or three months' expenditure, whichever is the smallest.
The programme will remain open for applications until Sunday 2 August 2020. Decisions will be made by mid-October and grants must be spent within six months.
