Evidence-based, CPD-accredited, flagship course exploring the key issues associated with self harm.
Online via Zoom
This evidence-based, CPD-accredited, flagship course is designed to improve working practice, knowledge and skills by exploring the key issues associated with self harm; looking at national and local policy, best practice and guidance on supporting people who self harm, improving skills to identify and assess for risk, and identifying ways to reduce stigma and discrimination.
The course uses a variety of interactive tools to build delegates' confidence in responding to individuals who harm themselves, by understanding the influences and impact on the health, recovery and wellbeing of those who self harm.
Level 2 (intermediate) training is suitable for professionals including frontline community staff whose role involves supporting people. These professionals may come into contact with those in distress or with mental ill health, but this is not their primary role, e.g. housing support, teaching staff, community support workers.
