'Green Buddies' Volunteer Befriending Information Workshop

Registration is closed for this event
Free online workshop exploring the idea of your organisation hosting volunteers who will support people to connect with nature-based activities and green community initiatives in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.

This workshop is for voluntary and community organisations who already recruit and support volunteers, and who are interested to explore new ideas and opportunities. The workshop will be facilitated by NCVS GreenSpace and Volunteer Centre team members, but your views and ideas are essential.

Since the start of the GreenSpace project our approach has been to take time to listen and talk to a range of healthcare providers and community organisations about the need for a befriender/buddy role to help and support individuals.

To quote a social prescriber working in a city Primary Care Network, “support for the patient to take part would be a game-changer”.

Join us to start to explore whether your volunteer team would like to add this befriender/buddy role to your existing roles. There’s even a small amount of funding for organisations who come on board.

Please register to ensure you are sent instructions about how to join the meeting using Zoom.
