This two-hour online session is intended for trustees who have completed our 'Being a Trustee' course, who want to further develop their involvement and awareness of trustee duties and improve their personal skill set.
Cost: £20 per participant

The session is suitable for trustees (Board Members / Committee Members) of voluntary and community sector organisations as well as directors of Community Interest Companies (CICs), Charitable Incorporated Organisations (CIOs) and social enterprises. It will help you to develop awareness and skills for the benefit of better supporting your organisation and to improve yor personal skill set. (This session previously had the title of 'Trustee Refresher Course'.)

You will learn the qualities and skills needed to hold one of the executive roles i.e. chair, board secretary and treasurer.

We will also consider how you can help your charity through the challenging times that lie ahead by:

  • working together effectively
  • having a plan
  • being more ‘strategic’
  • developing a funding plan
  • using social media to your advantage.

The session will take place over Zoom, so please make sure you have access to this software before registering for a place.

NCVS has introduced a small charge to cover administration and staff time in delivering our training. Payment is required at the time of registration. Click 'Register Now' for full instructions and to make your secure booking online.
