An online course giving a basic understanding of the roles and responsibilities of the Designated Safeguarding Lead Person. Cost: £25 per participant

Before registering for this Designated Lead course, participants should ensure they have attended the NCVS Introduction to Safeguarding Children and Young People course (or alternate refresher training) within the last three years.

This interactive course is delivered over one session, but divided into two parts, allowing for a 45 minute break and reflection between part one (10.30am - 11.45am) and part two (12.30pm - 1.45pm). You are required to complete both parts.

We will cover:

  • How to recognise and respond to disclosures
  • How and when to share information with other organisations
  • How to deal with allegations that involved staff
  • Key policies and guidance

A certificate of attendance will be issued following completion of this course.

The session will take place over Zoom, so please make sure you have access to this software before registering for a place.

NCVS has introduced a small charge to cover administration and staff time in delivering our training. Payment is required at the time of registration. Click 'Register Now' for full instructions and to make your secure booking online.

If you have any questions about the content of this course, please contact our Head of Operations and NCVS Safeguarding Lead, Celina Adams: celinaa@nottinghamcvs.co.uk.
