Find volunteering opportunities

There is an incredible range of volunteering opportunities in Nottingham. You can use your skills, or develop new ones.  Whatever you do you’re likely to meet new people, have new experiences and get the satisfaction of knowing you’re helping to make Nottingham a better place.

Finding the right role for you is as easy as 1,2,3.

  1. Search for volunteering opportunities online at www.do-it.org
This is the national database for all volunteering opportunities in the UK.  You can look for roles close to home or further afield.

  2. Not sure what you want to do?
Come in and have a chat with us.  We’ll ask some questions about what you enjoy and give you some ideas.  Just drop in to the Voluntary Action Centre at 7 Mansfield Road.  There’s no need to make an appointment.

  3. Get started!
How quickly you can get started depends on the type of volunteering role.  The people you’re volunteering with will be happy to answer any questions you have and talk about practical matters like how to get your travel expenses met. Usually you’ll be given training and support to help you make the most of the time you’re giving.
