Getting Involved
Training for Volunteers - OCN Accredited Course Jan / Feb 2008
The three criteria for a free place on this training are:

Be Unemployed or on Incapacity benefit
- Live in one of the target wards: Arboretum, Aspley, Basford, Bestwood, Bilborough,
Bridge, Bulwell, Dales, St Anns,

Be a volunteer with an organisation
Non-qualifying volunteers will be able to attend at a subsidised cost of £175.
The course starts with a one-to-one registration and induction straight after the New Year Holiday, with
the first group session on Friday 11th January 2008. Further sessions are on 18th and 25th January
and the 1st, 8th and 22nd February.
In addition to the group sessions, participants will also have to provide evidence that they have completed
at least 12 hours of volunteering during the course.

Please note that all bookings will have to be provisional, pending the induction and registration session
when we will need to have proof of unemployment status and address.
