What does the NCVS Volunteer Centre do?

The Volunteer Centre enables people to do voluntary work by helping them to identify the type of voluntary work they would like to do and then by matching them up with suitable voluntary organisations.

We contact local organisations who use the help of volunteers. We then collect and hold information on these organisations and on the volunteering opportunities that are available.
The Volunteer Centre offers an advice and placement service to people who are interested in becoming volunteers.
We can put potential volunteers in touch with local voluntary and community organisations who want volunteers in a wide range of areas.
We also work with the many voluntary and community organisations who work with volunteers to make sure you have a rewarding experience.
