NCVS Bursary Fund
NCVS Bursary Fund has been set up to help small to medium sized voluntary and community groups or organisations
to access training that they would otherwise find hard to do so.
Bursaries must be approved by NCVS before the booking is considered confirmed.
You will need to complete a simple form to apply for a bursaried place. If you receive one of these places,
please note our normal cancellation conditions apply. This means you do not attend, or if you do not send
us written notification of cancellation at least ten (10) days before the course, you will be charged for
the place. By 'in writing' we mean post, fax or email.
We recommend that you contact us by phone to confirm receipt of your cancellation as we cannot be held responsible
for delivery failures. Telephone cancellations are not accepted. Substitutions are not permitted for Bursary
awards.
Bursary Criteria
NCVS Bursary Fund is set up to provide free training places for:-

Volunteers, including volunteer management committee members,
of VCS groups active in Nottingham, or
-
Paid staff from VCS groups, active in Nottingham, with
an annual income of less than £250,000 per year, or
-
Nottingham residents who volunteer for any VCS group (including
Board / management committee) AND the training will improve skills to enable increased VCS involvement in
the neighbourhood renewal agenda (i.e. would not include training of direct personal benefit such as CV
writing)
There are a maximum of 3 bursaries on each course. Allocation will be given on a first come, first served
basis, but priority will be given to VCS groups operating in deprived neighbourhoods, or working with disadvantaged
communities.
If you are applying for a bursary, please send in your booking
form without any payment. Make sure you tick the box requesting a bursary
form, or tell our Admin Team you want to apply for this if you are telephoning.
We will reserve a place on the course for a maximum of fourteen (14) days, whilst
we wait for the return of your completed bursary form. We will write to let you
know the outcome of your application within the following fourteen (14) days.
We recommend you allow at least 6 weeks prior to the course date for this process.
In order to apply for a bursary you need to complete a NCVS booking form indicating this so that a place
can be reserved.
