Consultation on Petitions
The Department for Communities and Local Government (CLG) are consulting
over plans to strengthen the use of petitions and the new Councillor Call for Action, which was introduced
as part of the 2007 Local Government Act. The consultation
builds on commitments made in the Governance of Britain Green Paper to enable local people to better express
their views collectively.
