Nottingham City Council can support your workforce to become smoke free
Nottingham City Council is working in partnership with Nottingham City NHS Primary Care Trust to offer a
flexible Stop Smoking support package for local businesses, including voluntary organisations.
What is on offer?
You may be looking to support employees wishing to give up smoking, develop a smoking policy or address both
these important issues. They are able to offer a FREE comprehensive smoking support package that can help
you to implement this efficiently and effectively.
The package includes:
- Free Stop Smoking Clinics for your staff at your workplace, at a time that suits you
- The services of a trained Stop Smoking Advisor who can provide
Nicotine Replacement Therapy - such as nicotine patches - to employees
wishing to stop smoking
- Confidential advice and information
- Support to design and implement a 'Gold Standard' smoking policy
- 'Brief Intervention' training to relevant staff (e.g. health and safety, occupational health workers)
to increase awareness of the harmful effects of tobacco and motivate people to quit smoking
