Access 4 All are advising service providers in publicly accessible buildings on compliance with the Disability
Discrimination Act October 2005.
They have available a free interactive CD Rom which will enable you to conduct an access audit of your provision.
This toolkit is free to voluntary groups and charities in the City of Nottingham area. The CD will
inevitably reduce your exposure to litigation for non-compliance with the Disability Discrimination Act
2005 (DDA). The Physical Environment and Information assessments are for all service providers, the Curriculum
assessment is only required if you offer a learning environment facility. The Extra Information folder gives
details of minimum requirements to meet the DDA. In all cases a qualified building surveyor should advise
on any structural alterations to buildings.
