English Heritage

The HistoricBuildings, Monuments and Designed Landscapes Programme provides grants for the repair and conservation of historic buildings, monuments and designed landscapes. Grants are primarily offered for urgent repairs or other work required within two years to prevent loss or damage to important architectural, archaeological or landscape features.

In addition, EH can assist with acquisition costs and enter into agreements for managing scheduled monuments that are deteriorating as a result of insufficient management, where other funding is not available.

Applications are accepted by regional offices on a rolling basis and bids considered in two, three or four batches per year depending on the region Applications should be submitted to the relevant regional office.
