Government appointed national co-ordinating body for Home Improvement Agencies (HIAs).
The core functions involve monitoring HISa performance, providing advice, support, information
on good practice, organisiing national and regional events and championing the cause of HIAs
and their client groups with government at national and regional level.

roll in helping to plan and in place many of the conurbation's most ambitious

One Nottingham is the local strategic partnership for the city of Nottingham.
It is a local strategic partnership (LSP) . It brings together the public, private,
community and voluntary sectors based in Nottingham, so that every one living
or working in the city has the chance to have their say about its future.
Surface Gallery is an independent co-operative volunteer-run gallery in the centre
of Nottingham. Surface Gallery offers exhibition space to local, national and
international artists of all disciplines.
Gone is the old Victorian ideal of Volunteering as 'benevolence' and doing good
works - the modern volunteer wants to help themselves! Why not use Volunteering
to gain experience in other areas; to get the feel of a new career path you might
be thinking about or gain new skills. You can even gain accreditation for your
Volunteering through the free "Getting Involved" Course.
The advisors at the Volunteer Centre at NCVS are highly trained to work with you
on a one-to-one basis, helping you negotiate the 800+ opportunities that are on
our database. You could do anything from Accounting or Befriending to Video Editor
or Youth Worker - Challenge us to find something for you!
