Sessional Space Information

Sessional space for voluntary or community groups is available at the Nottingham Voluntary Action Centre. This space is for groups that have a short term office space problem and fit one of the criteria below: The use of a workstation, PC and telephone will be made available, for 21/2 hours per session, between 9am and 5pm. A donation of £5.00 will be expected, to be paid in advance or as arranged. Fax and franking services are also available in the building, a separate charge will be made for the use of these.

Some sessional space will be offered to four groups free of charge as stated in NCVS Equality Action Plan. The first 6 months is free for all groups and BME groups to take priority.

Each group who uses the building's sessional space will be asked to sign an agreement agreeing to the terms and conditions of usage.

Bookings
Reception staff will maintain a booking system for the sessional space located on the ground floor. Bookings can be made over the telephone or in person. Session times are 9.15am-11.45am, 12noon-2.30pm or 2.30pm-5pm at cost of £5.00 per session. Initially, the NVAC Centre Manager, or Duty Staff will agree which groups can use the space and ask first time users of the Centre to sign an agreement for use of the space.

Payments
When a group comes to use the space the payment is to be placed in an envelope clearly stating who the money is from and what it is for and addressed to 'FINANCE' - envelope should be passed to reception. Please issue a receipt if requested.

Practicals
On arrival each group is to sign in at reception using the Staff List. If groups request additional services from reception, such as franking or sending faxes, reception staff will either take a note of the cost of the service or take the money for the service and pass to finance. Franking is to be carried out on NVAC's account number.
