What's the building for?
The Nottingham Voluntary Action Centre (NVAC) offers training and conference facilities and high quality office space to voluntary and not for profit organisations. It is owned and managed by Nottingham Council for Voluntary Service, and opened in January 1999.
The building houses over 15 different organisations (See tenants) in a mixture of open plan and enclosed office space. In addition to reception services and three meeting rooms, the ground floor houses the Volunteer Centre where members of the public can find out about volunteering and volunteer opportunities.

How much do the rooms cost to hire?
That depends on what sort of organisation you are, and when you need the room.

What do I get with my room?
You get free use of all our audio and visual equipment including laptops, flipcharts, projectors and TV/DVDs. You also get free refreshments including tea, coffee and biscuits. Staff are also on hand to give you extra support to make your day run smoothly.
Is the site accessible to people with disabilities?
Yes, there are a number of facilities to assist users around the Voluntary Action Centre including an entrance ramp to the automatic front doors, a lift and wheelchair accessible toilets on each floor. The lift has been enlarged for wheelchair users, and it has Braille key pads and voice announcements for each floor when the doors open and shut.
Each floor is decorated in a different colour to help users to find their way around the building.
All of the training rooms have induction loops.
Can I hire the rooms at the weekend?
Yes, we can arrange for the building to be open in the evenings and at the weekend.
Can I get any discounts on the room?
Yes, we offer a lower rate if you are a voluntary and community organisation. We also offer 10% discount if you have your event on a Monday or Friday. Plus if you book more than eight sessions you get a discount. Click here to see room costs
Is there any parking nearby?
Victoria Centre car park
is
very close by. There are also a small number of metered car parking places nearby on Peachey Street and
Mansfield
Road. There are cycle racks for bicycles on Peachey Street and secure cycle storage at Trinity Square.
