Funding

Our partnership project, Focus on Funding, supports the quality and consistency of funding advice for voluntary and community groups in Nottingham city and Nottinghamshire.

Focus on Funding works with community groups across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire by providing:

  • Funding advice surgeries
  • Training courses and workshops
  • Information on funding sources
  • Fortnightly email updates on the latest grants and awards available in Nottinghamshire.

Focus on Funding also works with funding advisors, staff and volunteers who give funding advice as part of their work, by providing:

  • A funding advisors network every other month
  • Training courses and workshops to support funding advisors
  • A mentoring scheme for funding advisors.

For free funding information and advice, see the Focus on Funding website

Sustainable Funding Beacon

Nottingham CVS has been selected as one of six Sustainable Funding Beacons in England, working in partnership with the National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO).

We work closely with the Sustainable Funding team at NCVO to help local groups develop the skills, knowledge and tools to implement a sustainable funding approach, and become more resilient to change. To do this, we run a tailored programme for local groups including training, resource development and capacity building around sustainable funding and income diversification.  Look out for work carried out as part of this programme on the Nottingham CVS and Focus on Funding websites.
