Relocation Grant For Disabled Person
The aim of this grant is to contribute towards the essential relocation costs and/or the difference in price between the present and new home in situations where adaptation works eligible for a mandatory Disabled Facilities Grant cannot feasibly meet the assessed needs.
The Grant:-
- The maximum grant will be the same as the current mandatory Disabled Facilities Grant, but reduced by the estimated cost of works for any DFG needed for the new property.
- The grant will contribute towards essential relocation costs (solicitors, estate agent surveyor, removals etc) and/or the difference in price between the present and new home.
- No applicant will be awarded a relocation grant on more than one occasion.
- On completion of the relocation a grant condition will be imposed on the property in perpetuity requiring full repayment of the grant to the Council on the sale of the property.
