One Off Grants

The Grants and Registrations Unit based at The Radford Unity Complex, 203 Ilkeston Road, Radford, Nottingham have the responsibility for administering the Departments Grant Aid. The One Off Grants cover a wide variety of groups and activities across the City.

To be eligible for Grant Aid your organisation must register with the department through the unit's voluntary group registration process. This is a simple process and exists to ensure good practices are being followed. A specialist worker comes to meet with the group and assist in the completion of the form. Basic questions include training requirements, insurance policies, voluntary management details etc. Once a group are registered grant aid can be applied for. Registration also entitles the group to apply for use of the Citys minibuses managed by Nottingham Community Transport.

The group applying for grant aid has to be managed by a voluntary organisation, be working towards charitable aims and objectives (a constitution is a good idea but not essential, however we would like to see written aims and objectives). If your group has been operating for more than 18 months we would like to see some form of accounts, dependant on the size and turnover of the groups finances. The grant MUST benefit people who reside within the Nottingham City Council boundary - activities can take place outside of the boundary. Each fund has specific criteria relating to the fund, please see the individual funds for more guidance.
